My First Kawaii Selfie Camera - Casio EX-MR1

Say Kawaii… and I am ready for Selfie! Alright we know that selfie, wefie or groupfie wave is still riding high on social network among tech savvy and young generation. I am one of those who enjoy taking selfie and posting it on my social media. Tadah! here is my first Kawaii Selfie Camera, Casio Exilim MR1 that I’ve been toying around a few months ago. To be honest with you, one will only love to take selfie if she feels that she looks good in the photo, am I right? This is part of self-esteem and confidence booster. I am talking about this based on my personal experience because I am one of them… argh too shy to confess.

When I think of selfie, I think of Casio because I have tried many cameras and smart phones for selfie but still I am back to Casio. There are many uniqueness in Casio cameras, most of my selfie taken are awesome and I can post it on my instagram, facebook or google+ straight away without much touch-up required. The very first thing that caught my attention when I unbox this EX-MR1 is the mirror coating surface, then I noticed that the lens is positioned in the center inside the camera mirror surface. It is easier like this because I just need to look straight on the mirror when I take selfie while other camera usually the lense is at the top so there will be a gap between eye and the LCD. 

This is so special and innovative, at the same time I can check my makeup, position and reflection before I snap. Wahlau! taking selfie while checking my makeup and expression is way too cool. The mirror coating and lens technology is only available for Casio which I do not find in any other cameras. It comes with anti-reflection coating plus achieve the best balance of subject reflection and transmission level.

Whenever I use this pinky EX-MR1 selfie camera, my girlfriends will surely ask and curious about it. Some of them have already purchased it after trying out my unit and some is thinking of getting it. The first thing that caught their attention is the mirror coating surface. At first most of my friends though it is a smart phone, only after I explained and let them tried out the selfie they were surprised with the selfie photo quality. We girls just love to take selfie.

I enjoyed taking selfie using my new kawaii Casio EX-MR1 because it is as simple as ABC and I get the quality of photos that I wanted. The size perfectly fitted on my palm. It creates a firm grip and minimized the shake or motion when I take selfie or it is also equipped with self-timer 2 seconds and 10 seconds timer.

Makeup Mode Setting: Skin Tone 0 – 6; Smooth Skin 0-12

Of course the Casio EX-MR1 equipped with Makeup Mode that is why we get all the beautiful selfie. Let’s see the makeup-up setting for Skin Tone is from level 0 to 6 and for Makeup Mode is from level 0 to 12. The wider range gives us the flexibility to adjust to the level that we satisfied and also according to our surrounding. 

Overall, I like the innovative idea of the mirror coating technology. I can check my makeups and facial expression on the surface. The size and outlook is so kawaii and cool to carry around. Casio EX-MR1 is available in White, Mint Green and Pastel Pink. However the most important thing is that the photos quality is almost matching TR standard. For those who is thinking or eyeing for a selfie camera that less than RM1500 you should try out the Casio EX-MR1.
