Have you ever thought of why we need internet, is internet good or
bad for us, are we addict to internet 24 7? Well, sometimes I think I am
addicted to go online whenever I can. Let’s put it this way everything has pros
and cons, as long as we know how to manage ourselves, don’t abuse the system
and use it for good intentions, be Responsible Internet User.
Don’t use the net unless you know why. Don’t go online without a precise objective. Don’t sit in front of a monitor unless you have a specific reason for doing so. If we understand our intentions and desires, we shall use the net more effectively and waste less time. Go outdoor spend time with your family and friends; had physical activities at the same time don’t forget to share with us photos on social media.
Here are the reasons why I need internet and is it worthwhile to
spent time on the net? What are the pros and cons of internet?
1. I am a blogger & influencer
That statement answers everything right? As a blogger internet is
a must if not how can I upload my post, photos and get connected to my readers.
Sometime I found something interesting I can’t wait to share it with them on my
blog or my social media platform such as facebook, instagram, twitter, google+
and etc.
2. Communication for work & play
Email is essential for work, I can’t deny that. I get lots of
email every day, now I am filtering all the spam and junk mails coz it only
clogged my quota and system.
3. Stay connected with my family and friends online
Internet has save a lot of time and money for me,
especially communicating with my distance relatives in various part of the
world. Through social media I get to share my experience, opinions and photos
with friends and family.
4. The fastest way to get updated with latest news and information
Yup! social media platforms is the fastest way to get updated with
what happening in our country and round the world. Just Google it! It is as
simple as few clicks whenever I want to search for information or locations or
directions to places.
5. Online banking and pay bills
OMG… the online banking saves me lots of time imagine the hassle
of driving, finding car parks, queuing and etc at the banks for transactions
and counters to pay bills. Now with a few clicks it’s done.
6. Online shopping
Aha! can’t say no to online shopping hehehe… it’s so much cheaper
and hassle free to buy online. For those who love to shop online like me please
do your homework, make sure that the website or online shops are reputable and
sell genuine products. Plus check out their refund policies, if you are not
satisfied with the product you are able to refund or exchange.
7. Fun and leisure reading books and watch movies online
Yuhuuu… don’t forget the fun and leisure online. I do download
books and some movies so that I can read / watch whenever I have time, waiting
for someone, or on the flight.
Use internet with good purposes and intentions to ease our life,
work and improve ourselves. With all these needs I believe I need to have an uninterrupted,
speedy and affordable internet data plan to enable me to perform all my blogs,
postings, transactions, work and search with ease, speed and peace of mind.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I can live without my Internet either. I use it for all the reasons you listed above and probably a few more.
ReplyDeleteSounds great. I'm going to check this out.
ReplyDeleteI think that like everything, the internet should be used in moderation so we can have a balanced life! We can't have too much of anything, after all! :D
ReplyDeleteEveryone has the reason to use the Internet. Yours are delineated into seven reasons why you have to with your lappies for that. Internet exists to make life easier.
ReplyDeleteInternet nowadays is preferred by many to perform their job and lifestyle. Without it, I think, it ruin more lives thasn we can imagine. It's a necessity rather than luxury.
ReplyDeleteI used P1 for 3 years when studying in KL. It has great coverage at popular areas in Klang Valley, but if I back to my hometown, it is totally no coverage. Hmmmm. Anyway, thanks for sharing their plan and I agree on every reason you said about why internet is so important.
ReplyDeleteHaha... I feel this whenever I'm in Malaysia! The data charges and connection are high and SLOW! Not sure if this mifi is going to be any better but i will try it the next time I'm in Malaysia!
ReplyDeleteOh my days - slow... slow is waiting 30 minutes for a page to load, back in the day that was the norm. Also in order to make a phonecall you had to sign off the internet - that was fantastic dial up some years ago. The internet is something we couldn't do without these days - keeps everything in check
ReplyDeletewe all need internet for several reasons,in this era of technology we can't imagine a single moment without internet.
ReplyDeleteToo bad we don't have P1 here in Manila, I would love to try it out since my internet connection sucks. I agree with you on all 7 of the reasons we need internet, hope those who still haven't joined the bandwagon can read your article and be finally convinced, like my mom haha!
ReplyDeleteI have my own reasons too and I go with reasons 3 and 1 in that order.
ReplyDeleteWhile it's true that we were all doing alright before we had the Internet, but I couldn't imagine what's life going to be without it. The Internet has certainly made our lives easier is sooo many ways. I love how it keeps us connected to friends & relatives in other countries, as well as how we're all easily informed. We don't have P1 ( yet ) here in the Philippines and I won't be surprised if the service is offered here.
ReplyDeleteI feel you whenever I travel. Even when I don't use it for social media or online shopping/grocery, it still feels more secured to have the Internet.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I cannot quite remember how we used to do research for projects in school without the internet! I think my kids are a lot lucky this way - knowledge at their fingertips, through the net!
ReplyDeletea great read and i definitely agree with all of these. what would life without internet be like now
ReplyDeletefrankly speaking internet to me is not a necessity, for my parents are living well without it. my mum doesn't even use a smartphone, can you believe it!
ReplyDeletebut it'a huge entertainment i cannot do without. i feel so empty without youtube and instagram. :(
#4 is the most important reason. I do not know how I even went through my education without internet, only old fashioned library research. But now with social media, I always look for that free wifi in restaurants and hotels I go to. :-)
ReplyDeleteAs a blogger we really need to be on social media most of the time. We can easily get info from the internet now. Unlike before ypu have to go to a library and borrow books
ReplyDeleteInternet is a must for almost everday nowadays... :) I guess we all can easily find 7 reasons to online.. :p
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Actually, there's no cons in having internet as long as you know your limits or you know how to control yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only bad in the internet is when you use it for like almost of the day. I find the internet amazing for my business.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Totally agree with this! I actually can't imagine my life now without the internet. Even when I'm out, having data or wi-fi can save me from the trouble of navigating places I'm going to. Anyhow, I just recently lost my internet connection for over a week, and you can just imagine how hard it was!
