It is no rumour, former MBLAQ member Lee Joon is entangled in a
teenage pregnancy scandal for his latest drama. Heard It As A Rumour is the
compelling and unexpectedly hilarious story of an upper class Korean family,
headed by Han Jung Ho (Yu Jun Sang, Birth Secret, My Love from the Star) and
his wife Choi Yun Hee (Yoo Ho Jeong).
The power couple is determined to see their teenage son Han In
Sang (Lee Joon, Pinocchio) become an accomplished lawyer, and they do
everything they can — from government manipulation to hiring shamans — to make
it happen. But the entire plan shrieks
to a halt when In Sang brings home his pregnant high school girlfriend Seo Bom
(Go Ah Sung, The Host) and Once sophisticated and meticulously ordered, the
household is now turned upside down.
How will the Hans convince their son to continue on the path they
have set for him, while keeping his beloved “Bom Bom” and the newborn under
wraps? And can Seo Bom put up with the
harsh realities of being in a forbidden relationship with a young chaebol? The story is made even more exciting by its
two stereotype-bashing lead characters — Seo Bom is poor, but she’s neither
garish nor a pushover, while rich boy In Sang is timid and obedient, but
completely dedicated to his love.
Heard It As A Rumour stars the charismatic former member of MBLAQ,
Lee Joon, as well as veteran actor Yu Jun Sang, who has so far picked up awards
for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Couple in all the major TV award
ceremonies in Korea. Spearheading its
production are the famed duo behind A Woman’s Credentials, director Ahn Pan Suk
and screenwriter Jung Sung Joo.
