This is my first Perfume Tea Party @ Betjeman & Barton, 1
Utama Shopping Mall. You might wonder what is perfume tea party? I am sure you
attended Tea Party before but not Perfume Tea Party right… Aha! during the tea
party I get to concoct my bespoke perfume according to my mood, need and the
scent that I love. Perfume is something very personal. A woman who doesn't wear
perfume has no future by Coco Chanel.
Tadah! We were at Betjeman & Barton, the world renowned french
tea brewing from Paris that focuses on serving the best french fine tea along
with french confectioneries such as cakes, macaroons and chocolates.

This is definitely a place for tea lovers, they have a total of
100 types of loose teas available from Classic and Blended Perfume Teas to the
Fruit Infused flavoured neatly displayed on the shelves. At Betjeman &
Barton tea house also have varieties of gift sets. Not to forgetting those exclusive
flew in tea pots and accessories. You can also enjoy the ambience and
surrounding tea aromas while you have your teas and desserts. Ready to create

Dr Shelby from Bisou BonBon standing beside her Perfume Bar and gave
a brief introduction about perfume. She also explained to us about the steps how
to curate our own bespoke perfume. I took some notes and can’t wait to start
creating my own perfume. The word Perfume derives from Latin words per fumum
meaning “through smoke”.
Let’s start! My Perfume is inspired my Love, Friendship and
Happiness. I want something that is refreshing, light and floral not too
overpowering or strong. When I wear it I will feel happy and spread good vibes
around me.
Start with 2ml carrier oil, then essential oil - 15 drops of base
notes, 9 drops of middle notes and 6
drops of top notes. After that add 20ml of alcohol and done! I have to allow
the bottle to cure for 48 hours to 6 weeks. The scent may become stronger after
6 weeks. Before start using add the final 5ml of water to the blend and shake
it. Then via the filter transfer the content to the storage bottle. Here you
go, this is My Bespoke Perfume!
Base Notes – Sandalwood, Patchouli, Rose
Middle Notes – Palmarose, Geranium
Top Notes – Eucalyptus, Lime
Done with my perfume, now I have time to sit down, relax and chat
with the girls. These are the teas and desserts that we had. Awesome right?

recipe is secret since 40 years old. I like to drink as it is, no sugar or
milk. It has a typical Russia taste. It is forever the oldest and most enjoyed
Betjeman and Barton tea.

Soft, smooth and creamy need not to explain much just dig in and
finished it. Nom nom nom. I like the Oreo Mousse de Fromage more than the
Orange Chocolate Cake because it goes well with my Pouchkine Tea.

The Orange Chocolate Cake is very rich chocolate with a hint of
orange taste, the cakes is not too dense so you won’t fill so full even after
finishing the whole slice. I prefer the raspberry macaroons and the milk
chocolate.
It was a lovely Perfume Tea Party @ Betjeman & Barton, 1 Utama
not only we went home with our own perfume concoction but also a satisfying
soul after tasting all the delectable French teas, cakes, macaroons and
