Oh my poor feet! You jump, walk, run, stand for hours and carry my
body weight on you all the time. We spent so much effort and money to look good
with all those skin care, body care, hair care, nail care and etc; have ever
think of foot care. Psst… tell you a secret I have bunions, ouchhh! Yah sometimes
it’s painful but love to wear heels, how? What should I do? I think I need some
help here so few weeks ago I attended MyORTHO’s Dato’ Dr Edmund Lee talk at
Tropicana City Mall’s Dr Kong outlet. He sheds some light on the correct ways to keep our feet in good shape.

I was my honor to learnt and understand my feet better so that I
will not have problems with my feet or walking as I grow older. Well, Dr Edmund
is a registered Orthotist & Prosthetist and is a Member of BAPO (British
Association of Prosthetist & Orthotist). He started MyORTHO Rehab Sdn Bhd
in Malaysia in 2009, a natural extension of his family’s Lee Prosthetics and
Orthotics clinics.
MyORTHO also specialises rehabilitation and custom made orthotic
insoles and footwear. Dr Edmund Lee is passionate in the field of MyORTHO foot
and ankle biomechanics and scoliosis management. There is free Check & Fit
foot examination / assessment service at Dr. Kong’s outlets which provides the information
of our feet shape, concerns and also the correct choice of insoles & shoes
for us.
Feet assessment |
I did my foot assessment and was given advice as to the most
suitable shoes for my feet conditions – bunions.
After that I get choose a pair
of Dr Kong footwear that is suitable and fit my concerns at the same time I also
bought MyORTHO Hav Splint for my bunions, only have to wear it when I sleep.

Thanks to Datin Emily Lee, Dr Edmund and his helpful staff for the advices and
helping me to choose the right shoes.
By the way, there was also an exquisite festive hamper consisting
of Chinese New Year goodies, shopping vouchers, MyORTHO merchandise and the
extremely helpful The Ultimate Guide To Foot Care written by Dr Edmund himself.
It’s the perfect (and interesting) gift for the month of February when loved
ones may require a little advice from the good doctor. They are priced from
RM388 to RM688.

DeleteI think a friend of mine has a similar condition as yours, bunion. Only now I know there actually is a term for that. :)
ReplyDeleteI will research more and most certainly point her to your post. MyORTHO Hav Splint may be helpful for her.
