CNY 2015 Menu Review @ Checkers Café, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur

Have you tried the Chinese dishes at Checkers Café, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur? Usually I go to there for the buffet but this time I tried their Chinese New Year specials menu. Executive Chef Yau and his award-winning culinary team have concocted delectable nine-course set menus and also sumptuous buffet spread featuring customary must-have dishes throughout this festive season.

Well, from 29 January until 5 March 2015, Checkers Cafe at Dorsett Kuala Lumpur is stirring up the Chinese New Year celebration with an array of auspicious creations and traditional goodies to bring in good luck in the Year of the Goat. Apart from the normal yee sang that I had, this one had something special pecials. I like the deep fried crispy and aromatic fish skin.

Olala! This is a must try. I had 2 servings, this lamb chop is simply irresistible. The tenderness of the lamb and special marinated with black pepper, paprika, honey, bay leaves and intricately cooked to perfection.

Surprisingly when this dish arrived I was full but I tried it and add one more serving. This is so good.

This is the skill of the Chef Yau, it taste like sashimi but the fish is cook. I like the smoothness and just lightly flavoured with the virgin soya sauce.
