Benjamin Ruiz, Laura Mercier Global Makeup Artist was here in Kuala Lumpur to show us how to achieve the ZEN look using the Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette and other new colors.

Back to makeup, Laura Mercier Spring 2015 Colour Story look is effortless and discrete. We see more subtle, soft and flowy like watercolour to set the quiet and relaxed mood. Modern, veil-like shades of cement green merge with washed-out mauve, wheat and dirty navy. Decorate the eye with these matte sateen watercolour-like finishes. The face is fresh with a flush of colour to the cheek and a soft, muted lip. Textures are refined for a mood that is discretely cool.

FACE

Begin every makeup application with Laura’s Flawless Face.

Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette

EYES

1. Apply Eye Basics in Wheat to prep the eyelid.

2. Sweep Eye Color in Purple Rain from the Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette from lash line through the crease using the All Over Shadow Brush.

3. Using the Ponytail Brush, blend Mist Eye Colour from the crease fading outward on the brow bone.

4. With the Smudge Brush, add Cloud Eye Colour at the upper lash line, increasing in width blending outward and upward.

5. Lightly blend Cloud over Purple Rain Eye Colours along bottom lash line.

6. Apply Crème Eye Liner in Canard discretely along top lash line with the Angled Eye Liner Brush.

7. Finish with Full Blown Volume Suprême Mascara in Black, applying to top and bottom lashes.

CHEEKS

1. Apply Earth from the Watercolour Mist Eye & Cheek Palette with the Bronzer Brush along the hair line, jaw line and under the cheekbones.

2. Using the Cheek Colour Brush, add a wash of colour to apples of cheeks with Sunset.

LIPS

Softly apply Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Nude Rose to lips.

Overall, the Watercolor Clouds Look is naturally and effortless elegant. We don't have to look very hard with the subtle colours are able to enhances the femininity. The Creme Eye Liner in Canard turn out to blend in very well on skin, by the look at it the colours is bit poppy but when applied on the lid its enhances the eyes in a demure way.
