Yeah it was a fun and havoc day at Youth United Festival 2014 powered by Honor 6 at Stadium Malawati,
Shah Alam (open car park). We kicked start our Sunday morning with some fun
activities while meeting some friends at the fest. It was an enjoyable day
filled with celebrities, performances, sports, arts, music, food, share
sessions by celebrities and more from 10am till 10pm.
So called this kill many birds in one stone at the fest! Not only I
have fun with friends at the same time I did participated in some of the challenges
and learned some new tips at during the motivational talk at the Youth Lab and
of course entertained by the ongoing performances by our local artist. Real exciting
prize pool worth more than RM 100,000 was up for grabs for those taking part in
the key programs throughout the event finale.

I was there when Prince of Drift, Tengku Djan Ley, and Team PROTON
R3 show there talent at the exciting drift demo. International athletes, FISE
also put on an exhilarating show using BMX bikes which was well received by the
crowd.
Some of the exciting activities included celebrity bazaars, food
trucks, blogshops, BMX demo, drift car demonstration, lucky draw for amazing
prizes, futsal with celebrities, meet and greet with celebrities and many more.
There were celebrity blogshops booths from Azza Elite, Zul Yahya,
and Intan Ladyana. Blog readers met, chat and take photos with their favourite
bloggers.

Food truck is a trend among urbanites especially youngsters now
days! So jom makan at some of the yummy food trucks available such as my
favourite Sangkaya Creameries,
BurgerGilerPower, Cowboys Food Truck, Baden2 On Wheels, and La Famiglia. Local food
vendors, such as The Pisang Cheese, Babarittos, Cheesy Heart, Sandwich Boys Bar
and more took part to cater to the Malaysian tastebuds.

Many student football teams competed against each other on the
futsal pitch in the Intervarsity Futsal Challenge, activated by Shell Advance
Motorcycle Oils, co-sponsored by Revive Isotonic.

Of The Bands where student bands battled to be the top Youth Band Stage band, presented by E Studios Production. Each band
presented two songs of their choice to wow the judges. Heart A-Tack, whom
represented Universiti Selangor, MSU, and Universiti Teknologi MARA, emerged as
the winning band and won a recording session worth RM 20,000, and RM 5,000
cash. The team’s prize winnings were also matched by YouthUnited.MY and they
donated in the team’s name to Youth Cares.

The crowd witnessed electrifying rounds from top hundred students
who duelled each other for the best race time in Youth Games, activated by Honor 6 on an exciting mobile game called
Asphalt 8. There were many Honor 6
smartphones to be won on that day by participating in the games and challeges.

There was also a key program of sharing sessions from
entrepreneurs and celebrities in YouthLab,
sparked by Maybank, Co-Sponsored by Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, and driven
by Proton and R3. Many fans interested in music gathered for a music clinic
with members from Bunkface! and Kyoto Protocol.

Did you vote at the YouthZibition
art exhibition? I did! Students exhibited their creativity and passion on
photography, paintings and illustrations, and print graphic at YouthZibition
generated by Gen. Y Harian Metro. In the end, the top winner for Photography
category, Painting category and Illustration category was Nur Fadhila binti
Mohd Faudzie from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Nur Hidayah binti Ab Halim, from
Universiti Teknologi MARA, and Ismail Ibrahim Mohamed Almahdi from UNITEN respectively.
Each winner walked away with an Honor 6 Smartphone.
10 Honor Campus Ambassadors
who fitted at least one of the following criteria, including highly confident,
active in clubs and societies, high achiever, and active in community service walked
away with an Honor 6 smartphone each that day. These students braved themselves
and described their Honor Story on stage in front of the crowd.

The night carried on with exciting performances by Malaysia’s top
rock bands such as Bunkface!, Kyoto Protocol,
Hyper Act, IamNeeta as well as top performers such as Elizabeth Tan,
Hunny Madu and Kayda, Faizul Sany, Azhael, Aisyah Aziz and Caprice. The event
was free entry for the public and many came to give their support.

This event was organized by Malaysia’s leading youth marketing
