Christmas is Coming! I can’t wait to meet my friends and family especially those coming back from overseas, miss them so much. The festive mood is kicking in la la la… peeping at my shopping list while writing this post. Well, should I make a date with Le Marché de Noël on 4 December 2014 at Carcosa Seri Negara for some Christmas shopping. Yes! and at the same time we will be filling not only the Christmas stockings with stylish gifts but also warming the hearts of Malaysian children in need during this season of joy.

Imagine you are in a lush garden now take a deep breath and let yourself drift in… amidst the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee and croissants and serenaded by traditional French Christmas songs, families can wander through this market in an elegant setting.

Psssttt… you will have the opportunity to have a special cultural experience tasting fine French wine and handmade cheese, brioches and gourmet foods. To top it off, you can purchase fun quirky Christmas gift items, unique accessories and special hand-sewn fashion for children and ladies. You will be spoilt for choice with more than 50 stalls selling the best handcrafted products.

After the day event, a Christmas Charity Party awaits! featuring a French dégustation menu (wine and food) complete with aperitif dinatoire and fantastic DJs. From the experience of the party last year, guests can anticipate a full-blown dinner in great company with a constant flow of good wine.

Well, this is the 4^th year Le Marché de Noël is a unique French-style Christmas Bazaar and Christmas Charity Party organized by a group of like-minded French women who call Malaysia home and want to make a difference in Malaysia. The charity proceeds will go into fulfilling the wishes of children who suffering from a life-threatening medical condition and heart dysfunctional and in need of surgeries but cannot afford it.

This year, the charity event aims to raise RM130,000 for Make-A-Wish Malaysia and A Heart for A-Heart Programme (by Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur). Last year, children suffering from bone cancer, ovarian cancer, and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and osteosarcoma were helped by fulfilling their wishes and supported heart surgeries for the lucky children.

Le Marché de Noël hopes to bring healing and joy to the children and their families by contributing towards their medical care or by granting them their Christmas wish. Let’s make a difference in their lives.
