I would
like to share about this new Fashion Festival concept. Zalora recently launched
the Zalora Markerplace bringing local emerging fashion labels together in the
Boulevard area of Paradigm Mall, Kuala Lumpur. It was especially designed to
help emerging fashion businesses such as blogshops, boutiques and upcoming
designers to showcase their designs and products to the whole of Malaysia.

Since
its introduction the Marketplace platform has already showcased more than 100
local labels to ZALORA’s ever-growing customer base.

Selected brands featured
on the runway included: Hi Style, MilkTee, Starroom, Coccha, Nunfish, Covetz,
POPculture, Lovemartini and Earth Heir for women’s wear; Azzara Cottons,
Muslimah Clothing Couture and Closetheart for the Muslimah line; Posse and Hi
Style for men’s; and Paku, Luccacal, 2553, Dosscaps, VSoft and Chenta Watie
Scarf for Accessories.

The
two-day event was filled with performances and fashion shows that embraced and
highlighted the talent of the local designers and labels.

During the event, we were able to browse through and purchase the items via on-the-spot
cashless transactions from digital shopping stations.

Guests
were also entertained by an exciting lineup of local artists kicking off with
the sultry and soulful tunes of the jazz diva, Ushera. Independent blues band,
Fazz Band followed suit, delighting the crowd with their contemporary blend of
pop, blues and swing.

Local
comedian Vicha Saywho, known for his stint on popular reality show Raja Lawak,
soon stole the spotlight with her stand-up routine, sending the crowd into fits
of laughter throughout the set. Beatboxer Coex brought the evening to a close,
mesmerizing the crowd with his skillful beatbox tunes and vibrant stage
presence.
