Sleepy
head woke up on the second day, had breakfast and ready to go to hit beach! By
the way the buffet breakfast at the Minh Toan Galaxy Hotel was good. They have
quite a variety of Vietnamese food like the pho (noodle), ham, baguette, spring
rolls and etc. Say hello to My Khe Beach baby...
My Khe Beach, Da Nang, Vietnam |
My Khe Beach is one of the top beaches in
the world. Feel the smooth sand, sea breeze and the waves. Behind the beach is
a dark green poplar forest, and beside, the Kinh River carries crystal water to
the sea.
My Khe Beach |
The sea water in My Khe Beach is cool with little wave so you can bath
all year's round, especially in summer from May to August.
at Furama Resort Da Nang |
Due to
the raining weather on that morning, we don’t really spent a lot of time at the
beach. Hmm… perhaps I should visit Da Nang again for the beach, the run and their
UNESCO World Herritage sites like Hue Complex of Monuments, Hoi An Ancient Town
and My Son Sanctuary.
Kim Do Restaurant |
We had
a good lunch at Kim Do Restaurant one
of the local restaurant that served Vietnamese Chinese food and good coffee too.
These were the dishes that we had and the portions were quite big for about 8
of us per table.
Vietnamese Salad |
I like the Spicy Prawns and the Vietnamese Salad. I can’t get
enough of Vietnamese coffee – caffeine overdose.

Lotte Mart Shopping Centre in Da Nang City |
After
the heavy lunch, I became a snake… sleepy and lazy the symptom of food coma kicking
in hahaha. Then we decided to go to Lotte Mart Shopping Centre in the city for some groceries shopping and also roller skating (back to the 90s). Lotte
Mart location - 6 Nại Nam, Hoa Cuong Nam, Hai Chau Da Nang, Vietnam. Omg! roller skating is not my cup of tea I'm really bad in balancing myself. I barely
dare to lift my hand off the railing. Hehehe so cha one…

Olala! Then
it’s time for some spa, massage and relaxation in The Spa at A La Carte Da
Nang Beach Hotel which is located at the Beach Boulevard of Da Nang. This
hotel is quite hip and caters for many youngers, hipsters, business travelers
and also family. They have very special packages to caters for everyone needs. The
Da Nang International Marathon was setup is just next to the hotel. Many of the
foreign participants stayed in this hotel.
The Spa at A La Carte Da Nang Beach Hotel |
After
the body massage I felt so relieve and relax. It was so good and I love it.
That night we had dinner at The Top.
Cang Cua Salad |
My favourite dish was the Cang Cua - watercress salad with shirmp and tomato sauce. It's light, crisp and refreshing. They have awesome bread too must try the charcoal bun with cauliflower.
rooftop view of Da Nang |
Well, the infinity rooftop view and the view surrounding up there were amazing! I can’t
believe that I can get such view in the city.

Care
for some romantic boat ride? Yeah! We took a boat ride at the Han River and it was drizzling that night. I enjoyed
the scenic night view of Da Nang and some quite moments thinking about us while
staring blankly at the skyscrapers. Then the boat stopped somewhere near the
Dragon Bridge 5 minutes before 9pm. We waited patiently with our camera and
smartphone ready.
Dragon Bridge Da Nang @ Han River |
Dragon Bridge Da Nang was completed in 2013
and has about 2,500 LED lights. Every Saturday night about 9pm many people will
gather near the bridge or the side of the bridge to watch the Dragon’s Head
sprout fire and water about 3 minutes. Only happen every Saturday night.
It was
a lovely day, despite the weather wasn’t so good and we were not able to kayak,
snorkeling and other water activities. Overall we had a great time at the spa /
massage, good dinner and boat ride on Merdeka Day.
Selamat Hari Merdeka Ke-57 from Kami Malaysia @ Da Nang, Vietnam |
Pleasant
night sealed with lots of smiles and went to bed early because I have to get up at about 5am in the morning for the Da Nang International Marathon. Wootz! More excitements start rolling in… Hoi An Ancient Town.
