Giant Kids Runs & Family Fun Day 2014

I was at Giant Kids Runs & Family Fun Day 2014 with my family on 16^th Sept 2014, Sunday at Stadium Shah Alam, Selangor. It was a fun family day out, well the parents were more excited than the children especially when their children racing on the track. Besides there were a lots of activities and booths setup to keep us busy and entertained.

This year more than 3,000 children participated excluding the parents, the turn out were good. This is the 4th year Giant organized the one and only kids run event that is focused on children and their families, it has been expanded to include exciting activities for those not taking part in the run, so that everyone in the family can participate and at the same time, win attractive prizes.

Besides the kids run, there were also Costume Fun Run, Long Jump event, a Hot Air Balloon ride and many other fun activities such as Face Painting, Sand Art Station, Henna Drawing and many other carnival-like games’ stalls which made the Giant Kids Run a complete family affair.

This year, Giant gave out more prizes up to the 10 placings, so more children get rewarded. This will also spur them on to participate in healthy activities and be active adults in future.

Ok, Giant cash vouchers ranging from RM 50 to RM500 were given to the winners in the youngest category. The winners of the other categories received cash vouchers ranging from RM100 to RM1,500. The winners of the first three placing in each category also received a trophy while participants who complete the race received a finisher’s medal.
