Time flies… Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon, we started to see shops, bakery, supermarket, hypermarket, restaurant and also online shop start selling mooncakes, lanterns and assorted stuff for Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Have you started easting mooncake? Well, last week was my first mooncake review at Tai Thong Group 2014 Mooncake Press Conference held in Imperial China, Subang Jaya one of Tai Thong Group Restaurant.

Make My Own Mooncake ~ Snow Skin Lotus Paste

The evening kicked off with some casual and fun activities like Make Your Own Mooncake, Photo Taking at the photo booth, mingling and chit-chatting. 

Despite of the increase of food material cost however this year Tai Thong Group Mooncake range is priced the same as last year and is marked by 5 new flavours galore, from refreshing fruity tangs to the sensationally distinct taste of the king of all fruits.

The Imperial Musang King Royale was sold out before the Mid-Autumn Festival, so if you keen to try or want to get them please order early before it’s out of stock again.

Tai Thong Premium Durian Duet Mooncake

This year, Tai Thong steps up their game by introducing two new editions to the Durian Mooncake range – D24 and Red Prawn made from 100% premium grade Durians, both with their own distinct taste and texture, aptly named the Premium Durian Duet (D24 and Red Prawn) at RM88 for 4 pieces.

D24 Durian Mooncake - Using the freshest fragrant D24 durians they can find, the specialists at Tai Thong turned the flesh into a creamy clotty pulp, encased in a layer of refreshing snow skin. I like the Snow Skin Premium Durian Duet both D24 and Red Prawn has a different aromas and texture. The softness, taste of fresh creamy durian just melt in my mouth. How can I resist them? Oh my durian mooncakes...

Apart from savouring the new flavours of Tai Thong’s mooncake, we also tried the latest Tai Thong Mid Autum Set Menu which consist of 5 courses – Double-boiled Village Chicken with Truffle Soup, Tai Thong Prosperity Poon Choy, Turbot Fish (deep-fried fish with celery), Stir-Fried Assorted Grains and Chilled Lychee with Sea Coconut. 

It was an awesome treat and I always love Chinese food. Tai Thong Mid-Autumn Poon Choy Set Manu start from RM298++ up to RM2,388++.
