Mrs. Universe 2014 World Finals Delegates in Malaysia

For the first time in history Mrs. Universe World Finals held in Asia and Malaysia is the fortunate country to host the Mrs. Universe 2014 World Finals at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Petaling Jaya on 29th August 2014. Well, last Saturday we managed to meet the beautiful and smart 44 international Mrs. Universe 2014 World Finals Delegates at KL SOGO.

This is the first time that the international forum to highlight issues on “Violence Against Women”., which acknowledges women for their success with regards to their families, careers and contributions to society, will be staged in Malaysia, and also in Asia. This year, in view of the fact that the forum is held in Asia, there will not be any swimwear round.

Present at the press conference were Datuk Andrew TK Lim. Managing Director, SOGO (K.L) Department Store Sdn. Bhd.; Ms. Megi Savova, Owner of Mrs. Universe Ltd.; Malaysia’s Carol Lee, Mrs. Universe 2013 and the first Asian to be awarded the title, presenters from IKON Connaught and U.S Polo and other sponsors.

The judging criteria for the event incorporates the delegates’ performance in the forum on “Violence Against Women” and other aspects such as their behavior, punctuality etc throughout the 8 days. There is also an Online Voting Contest, whereby fans from all over the world may vote for their favourite delegates an online voting system. The Online Voting will remain open until 28th August 2014.

The delegate who receives the most votes will win the subsidiary title of “Mrs. Popular”, and automatically qualify to be in the Top 10. Fans are advised to log on to the event’s official website at www.mrsuniverse2014.com  to find out more and to vote their favourite delegates.

The Mrs. Universe 2014 World Finals is organized by KL SOGO, the largest stand alone department store in Malaysia, in association with Mrs. Universe Ltd, ERM and Tourism Malaysia, and is presented by ikon Connaught and U.S Polo Assn.
