Summer is coming soon… Rip Curl takes inspiration from various cultures and sub-cultures to offer a bright and trendy collection for both men and women. I see bohemian and early 90s grunge days is still in and for men is casual lay back, surfers culture and Hawaiian prints. Let’s take a look at what is Rip Curl up to for Spring Summer 2014 Collection.

For the ladies, Rip Curl goes back to the grunge days of the early 90s with its graphic tees and simple bold statements. New bohemian is also a theme that’s explored this season, presenting Aztec and geometric prints, as well as feminine florals with earthy tones as the main colour palette. 

The girls get to enjoy a wide range of tops to choose from for Spring/Summer: for the bold ones, there are cotton tees with colourful, playful prints and bohemian tops with rolled cuffs; the slightly daring ones can go for peek-a-boo tops with laser cut details on the front and back, or choose our sweater and cardigan range for days when you just want to keep a low-profile style. 

For beach lovers, swimmers and surfers, this season releases new Rip Curl boardshorts designs in different lengths, from 18 inches to 21 inches, in seasonal colours of blue to sunset orange. Ladies’ boardshorts this season are also getting colourful, with holiday-inspired prints of bright flowers and palm tree graphics, as well as basic yet bright tones.

The themes for Rip Curl’s menswear Spring Summer 2014 revolve around the surfing culture and youth lifestyle. The t-shirts, made of 100% cotton, show beach-inspired prints ranging from palm trees to faded Hawaiian floral. You can also opt for minimalistic basics that come in mono or bi-coloured logo tees and possess contrast chambray pockets. 

These slim fit casual men’s tops offer a more flattering silhouette, as well as a modern neck cutting. Rip Curl’s men’s short sleeved buttoned down shirts have playful retro prints that can be worn by the creative man for both work and play. For a more semi-formal occasion, you can opt for the long sleeved shirts that come in neutral, light tones, like white, grey and sky blue.
