Mary Quant Beauty Workshop

Hey! I’m back to talk about beauty after immersing myself into lifestyle topics since last week. So what are the new things that I discovered from Mary Quant Beauty Workshop at last Sunday. Mary Quant Cosmetics was launched in Malaysia since last year and it’s available in MUSE by Watsons.

Do you want to know why Mary Quant cosmetics so special? I find that brand emphasis more on their makeup products. They offers a complete makeup with a wide range of colours and shades. Plus the unique point is there we are free to mix and match and use any colours as we desire. There is no rule when it comes to using Mary Quant makeup. I like it, we have the freedom and be individual. Be ourselves. For Mary, cosmetics are part of fashion, with unrestricted combinations to enhance female beauty. Her aim is to allow women to express their true selves and enjoy life.

It was a step by step hands-on beauty workshop guided by Ms. Nobuko Takaki the beauty trainer from Japan. 

Mary Quant Oil Zap

First, we started with prepping our face by using the Oil Zap, 20g RM119 and Moisture Zap, 30g RM129. There are two type of makeup base available I use the Oil Zap base on my T zone and Moisture Zap for my overall face. The Oil Zap makeup base is suitable for oily and combination skin user because it provides a dry, matte finishing.

Mary Quant Moisture Zap

While the Moisture Zap has high moisturizing effect and helps the makeup last longer. Its moisturizing but not oily.

Mary Quant Eye Gloss

Then I applied the Eye Gloss, 8.5g RM79 #01 Light Beige on my eyes area. It’s the moisturizing and treatment eye foundation. This foundation is for the delicate and dry-prone eye area. It covers dark circles and dullness. Plus it makes eye makeup long lasting and the colours stands out.

Mary Quant Smoo Make Powder Foundation

Choosing the right foundation shades can be quite confusing and hard. But not to worry Mary Quant Smoo Make Powder Foundation, 10g RM108 comes in 8 shades. I am sure you can get the shades that is suitable for your skin color. Mine shade is #O-40 Natural colour, this powder foundation gives moderate coverage and its suitable for everyday usage whenever we want to look natural with minimal makeup.

Mary Quant Loose Face Powder

Then perfect it with Loose Face Powder, 27g RM109 #01 Sheer Satin. This fine and soft with little shimmering loose powedr make my skin tone even, appear brighter and fine textured. After applying it I can feel that my skin so smooth.

Mary Quant Eye Opener & Mary Quant Blush Baby

For eye makeup, that day we tried out the purplish shade. The Eye Opener, RM49 colours that we use are N-01 pinkish white, P-06 Lavender Grey, V-01 Bright Violet and R-02 Rose Pink. Blush Baby, RM75 comes in 14 shades to choose from… really a lot of shades for blusher. I tried the combination of 2 shades # 02 Mauve Pink and #09 Shell Pink. 

Mary Quant Brow Line

 Brow Line, RM59 available in 3 basic shades; I am using the #02 Chestnut Brown. It’s easy to glide and draw smoothly. Brow Line is waterproof, resists perspiration and maintains a beautiful finish. It prevents dullness and crumbling due to sebum and other factors.

Mary Quant Action Lashings

Then come the main highlight, the Action Lashings, RM109 this is something cool for this season. It comes in 7 shades, the shade that I tried that day is #06 Bohemian Purple. It makes my eyes look brighter, softer and swing into the mood of spring compared to the conventional black that I always use. This is a two-sided Coil and Chip Brush which features short, raised bristles on one side and the Oil Gel Formula that gives the mascara its elasticity, together create sharp and long lashes. 'Anti colour-fading effects' and 'waterproofing effects' have also been enhanced, enabling the maintenance of beautifully upward-curling eyelashes and completely preventing smudging on the lower eyelid.

Out Line, RM59 available in 20 shades its superb drawing ease, this eye and lip colour pencil enables greater freedom to play with eye and lip make-up. By aiming for double usage, a special texture has been formulated that allows you to draw softly around the eyes and create firm lines around the lips. Since the liner is waterproof and impervious to tears and perspiration so it’s long lasting. Last but not least is the Lipstick, RM108 I apply a thin layer of #R-01 Scintillation.

The whole colours combination of the stands out and look very natural. I like the bohemian purple mascara. Well I think you should try out the purple, blue or green mascara, see the difference either you like it or you are not used to it. Anyway… have a happy time playing with colour cosmetics.
