Yeo’s Funderful Video Contest Winners

Laughter is the best medicine! It helps to open up our heart and makes the world beautiful. This week is the grand finale of the LOL with Yeo’s Funderful Video Contest so who will take home the RM20,000 cash? Finally on 12^th March 2014 the winners of Yeo’s FUNderful Video Contest were announced during the prize giving ceremony at Summit Auditorium, The Summit Subang USJ in Subang Jaya. That morning, I sat the auditorium and I felt like I am attending the Grammy Awards of LOL with Yeo's FUNderful Video Contest; with the shortlist videos playing on the big screen, sound and light effect, trophies, the winners up on stage for their prizes and claps and cheers; it’s Awesome!

Congratulations to all the winners! I bet the judges have a hard time selecting the winners as most if the video are hilarious, touching and exudes the message of Stay Healthy with Yeo’s, Lead a Joyful Life. Yeo’s kicked off its first national Yeo’s FUNderful Video Contest through social media channel in the month of November 2013.

This contest was to encourage all Yeo’s fun and wonderful fans to maintain a healthy lifestyle by filming a video that would make others laugh out loud and inspire people to live positive life. There were a lot of entries but only 72 of the videos qualified for the final round.

The panel of expert judges consisted of Mr. Ong Chay Seng, Chief Operating Officer of Yeo’s, Encik Osman Ali, a feature film director and Mr. Dick Chua, a multitalented director. We also also had the opportunity to determine the winner of the Most Viewership Award by viewing and sharing our favourite video.

Encik Osman Ali, is an award-winning feature film director who is best known for his risqué works such as ‘Bukak Api’ which relates the story of transvestites in Kuala Lumpur and director of the movie CUN!. He is a versatile and talented storyteller who writes and directs his own scripts. Mr. Dick Chua, is a seasoned director who started his career in the 3D animation industry before establishing himself as an animator. Having produced numerous feature films, television commercials, and documentaries, Dick Chua provided valuable insights of what constituted a good video.
