Coup De Foudre! time to unwind and catch up with friends
and blogger kakis at the latest night spot in town called
Porcelene Jazz at Empire Damansara Perdana. Well, from the main road the stretch
of this building look quite vintage, it’s the Heritage Lane. If you love food, coffee and music, Porcélene is the place for you to fall in love all over
again.
Oh by the way, Coup De Foudre means love a first sight or stroke of lightning in French.
Procelene Jazz is revolutionizing Malaysia’s F&B scene;
committed to raise the bar of sublime gastronomical satisfaction, beverage
alchemy and live music entertainment value. The restaurant serves Asian-European
Fusion menu, time to introduce fun and flavourful menu that is acceptable to
the local and a visiting foreigner’s palate.
The ground floor with high ceiling, contemporary and simple décor is great for
dining or catch up for a cup of coffee.
The mezzanine floor is
a more cozy and privacy whereby there are sofas and also more intimate dining
area.
The second floor is the Bowler Room is a lounge and bar area for some
good music and jazz. It is equipped with state of the art audio equipment in
order to have a ready platform in support of local talent to hone their
performance skills to a global standard.
The Porcelene Jazz Media Launch event kicked off with a short and
sweet speech by Mr. Ng Kien Boon one of the boss of Porcelene at the Bowler
Room.

The host is of course the beautiful sweet Kay. After that we proceed to
ground floor for dinner and wine tasting.

| Cajun Cutlets |
My favourite dish is the Cajun Cutlets, char grilled lamb cutlets topped with homemade Cajun spices and rosemary. I like the well marinated lamb cutlets, its is tender and flavourful.

Ham Yok Tan Sotong if it is served hot and crispy would be great. Quite like this deep fried squid and it go pair well with the La Puerta Torrontes from Argentina white wine with powerful honeysuckle and other flora aromas.

| Signature Aglio Olio Di Nero |
Signature Aglio Olio Di Nero paired with Vallformosa Primvm Rioja Crianza from Spain. The wine is pleasant full bodied and sweet finishing with fresh and intense fruits combined with liquorice, blackberry, violets and toffees. The squid ink spaghetti with mushrooms, sun dried tomato and garlic. Slightly too much olive oil but the overall taste is good.

There are some other food such as Premium Beef Strip Aparagus mix greens with beef bacons, asparagus, hardboiled egg, tomato and onions drizzled with house cocktail dressing; Pizza Number Ten shredded duck breast and crispy skin, cucumber, spring onion with hoisin sauce base; Pantai Timur Pizza mixed seafood with extra spicy sambal belacan; Paella De El Submarino Amarillo with mussel, shrimp, squid, white clams and pan seal fish fillet; NYC Short Ribs tender beef ribs glazed with Porcelene homemade sauce and Signature Tiramisu.

The wines that we had for tasting includes Musar Hochar Pere from Lebanon pair with Pizza Number Ten; Stanley Estate Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand pair with Seafood Paella; Vallformosa Primvm Rioja Crianza from Spain pair with Aglio Olio; Shinas Estate Guilty Shiraz from Australia paired with NYC Short Ribs; La Puerta Torrontes from Argentina.

Well overall I enjoyed the night with good food, wine and music plus great company at Porcelene Jazz. There are quite a good selection and varieties in Porcelene Asian-European fusion food menu. I like the serene surrounding of this new place.
