BubbleGum Brazilian Wax @ Bubble Gum Wax, Sri Hartamas

Heiyo! Are you still a virgin? Still? Errr… I am not talking about that thing. I mean that your vjj (down there) is still virgin or already kena wax botak before hehehe. Have you tried Brazilian Wax before or not? Ahemm, well I am proud to say that, I have been there & done that. Last Sunday I was invited to BubbleGum Waxing Party with The Butterfly Project team. I did my Brazilian Wax at Bubble Gum @ Sri Hartamas that day. Dare to go Bare! Oh come on…

It was a lovely girlie party with Baskin Robbins ice creams, marshmallows, sweets, chocolates, bubblegum (of course), charcoal noodles, bikini cookies and many more food and beverages. I was in the second session so there we about 15 of us girls… all girls. The first timer for Brazialian Wax might feel a little bit nervous. This is not my first but the last time I did Brazilian Wax was about 4 months ago. Hmm… I still feel nervous too.

Brazilian waxing is the removal of all hair in the pelvic area, front and back, while sometimes leaving a thin strip of hair on the pubis. Brazilian waxing is also known as a full Brazilian wax, full Bikini wax, Hollywood wax or the Sphinx.

I scared leh hehehe... Bollywood style :D

I like the dimmed light and cozy setup environment of this Bubble Gum Wax @ Sri Hartamas salon. It makes me calm down a little and the wax therapists are friendly too. I was the first few to do my Brazilian Wax that day. 

The wax room

The wax room was tidy, well organize and clean. Use the wipes given to clean our vjj (down there) before the waxing. At first, I feel a little bit shy and nervous even though this is not my first time. After chatting with the therapist well I feel more comfortable.

The waxing process takes about 30 minutes after that you have a clean smooth skin. It is hygiene and clean, the therapist wearing gloves and face mask and the spatula is new. I choose hot wax because it not that painful. The therapist dipped a wooden spatula into a pot of hot wax and then spread it onto my skin and hair. Leave it a while the wax will cool off and harden. She will press firmly on the wax strip and pulled it off in a split second. The therapist thought me something new that day, when she apply the hot wax on my vjj I have to take a deep breath and when she pull off the wax I need is to breathe out. That helps to reduce the pain and nervousness.

Here are some tips for you:  

1. Go to toilet before you start your Brazilian Wax session

2. Do not do it if you are having period/menses or like 1 or 2 days before or after your period/menses

3. The pubic hair has to be at least half an inch long or medium length. If too short you are not able to do because the wax not able to grip & pull out the hair roots. If too long you might feel more pain.

4. Try to relax by breathe in and out. If you are tensed your muscle contract and its harder to pull of the wax strip or you feel more pain.

5. After the process do not shower with hot water or scrub the waxed area.  

While waiting for the rest of us to complete the Brazilian Wax we had some fun activities. It sort of like competition, we were suppose to bring our own recycle shoe box as the goodies box.

So here we go, start to decorate our shoe box and then arrange all the goodies in the box as creative as we can. The top there best design win RM500, RM300 and RM150 vouchers.

Overall, the whole process is very fast and hygiene is ensured at Bubble Gum Wax. The therapist is friendly and experience. As for me there is slight pain especially on those more sensitive parts. The salon environment was cozy and relax. There are many other services that the salon offer other than Brazilian Wax.  

Last but not least, of course the BubbleGum Waxing Party organized by The Butterfly Project team was awesome. I get to enjoy a free Brazilian Wax, take home goodies and have Saturday tea with all the happy bloggers. Thanks a lot, love all of you.
