It was an afternoon tea affair with Jo Malone Peony & Blush
Suede at Maison Francaise. Jo Malone welcomes us with the art of Fragrance

I was at Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede launch tea party. The whole setup was so english and elegant burst with pink peony and suede.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede is the Essence of Charm. The fragrance by itself is sweet and floral with a hint of leather suede scent. It luxurious and seductive where peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile; flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower while mingling with the sensuality of soft blush suede.

The fragrance starts with the crisp bite of the juicy apple, in
combination with the fresh almond giving a softness. After that comes the
floral heart, where the peony takes centre stage. The intriguing aspect of this
fragrance is the duality of the enveloping feminine floral and the muscle of
the textured suede. The fragrance is a matter of sensation; you have to feel
it, just as you feel a piece of fabric in your hands.

Christine Nagel is the Master Perfumer for Peony & Blush Suede.
Her inspiration behind this creation was she wants to capture the connection
between the craft of fragrance and couture fashion, which is the charm of the
English ballroom in the mid-20th century; The heady glamour of the Cecil Beaton
era. It’s a fragrance that embraced both the floral notes and atmospheric
texture of this scene. Suede is not only surprising but has a muscularity that
acts as the perfect complement to the peony flower.

Before the launch started I get to try out Jo Malone cologne at the same time create my unexpected signature scent. After trying most of them, I love the Pomegranate Noir layered with English Pear & Freesia. It is a scent of glamorous, attention catcher and lastly lingering sweet sensual that suitable for evening cocktail party.
