UNIQLO’s LifeWear takes into consideration the connection to the
human body, the needs of lifestyle and the emotional link to clothes a true
appreciation of clothing that goes beyond fashion. The collection fulfills the
rigorous and practical demands of consumers today.
The emotional and physical properties of clothing and the needs of
the wearer were all factored in through the display of beautifully realized
fabrications, a polished and precise design aesthetic and simply the pure
enjoyment of clothes. In LifeWear, nothing is left to chance and none of these garments
should be seen as disposable ‘fast fashion’: UNIQLO’s clothing is made for
life, in both senses of the term.
The LifeWear Fall Winter 2013 season concentrates on great,
individual product design with UNIQLO’s Design Director and Art
Director, Naoki Takizawa, fully utilising and bringing to life individual
themes running through the collection. Here, for the first time, the collection
is fully grouped into distinctive ‘Projects,’ styled by UNIQLO’s Creative
Fashion Director Nicola Formichetti.
The UNIQLO 12 projects are: HEATTECH,
Ultra Light Down, Fleece, Silk, Cashmere, Cotton
Flannel, Ultra Stretch Jeans, Topics (a Special Project
featuring a guest design collaboration), Leggings Pants, Warm Easy
Pants, Denim and Shirts.
