Bali Hai Seafood Village @ Kota Damasara - Ramadan Seafood Buffet

Penangites would surely know about Bali Hai because it is originally from Penang, my hometown. In Penang there is two outlet such as Bali Hai Seafood Market in Gurney Drive and Golden Thai Seafood Village in Batu Feringgi. There is also another branch in Klang Valley. The huge seafood restaurant with a seating capacity of 700-800 pax, 5 private dining rooms and 8 gazebo huts is just next to the Tune Hotel in Kota Damansara. I was at Bali Hai Seafood Village in Kota Damansara for their famous Ramadan Seafood Buffet.

Bali Hai has just introduced their Ramadan Seafood Buffet this year. There are quite good selections of seafood with more than 20 dishes to choose from. Overall, the environment and cooking is Balinese Style. As you know I like spicy food, I find that the cooking style is suitable for my tastebud. The curry chicken, tom yam seafood, tom yam soup and kam heong bamboo clams are all great. The Fresh Big Oysters and Big Prawns are the main attraction beside the sweet and sour crab and the clams. 

 Fresh Oysters, this is consider the medium size there are bigger size.  

 Fresh Boiled Prawns is great to eat it with on its own without any sauce

The satay is juicy and the marination strong enough to give the kicking aroma.
Plus the satay sauce is thick and full of flavour.

My favourite Black Pepper Lamb

Tom Yam Seafood is spicy and sour enough with power lemongrass aroma. I like it. 

Curry Chicken with Potato, Stir Fry Mixed Vegetables, Dried Shrimp
with Curry Leaves Bamboo Clams, Fish in Vietnamese Sauce 

Tom Yam Soup, Sweet & Sour Crab, Crispy Chicken Wings and
BBQ French Beans with Chilly Flakes and flaours.

Bali Hai Seafood Village restaurant is huge, spacious and windy. You will not feel stuffy at all because it is open air, high ceilling and there is a lot of big fans. So it is comfortable while dining.  

Bali Hai tagline is "If It Swims We Have It". This means in Bali Hai they try to have as many variety of seafood for the customers to choose. 

Customers have the choice of picking their seafood live from the tanks and this is by far the best what to prepare seafood while preserving its original freshness, flavors and taste. From fresh Alaska Spider Crab, Snow Crab, Emperor Crab, fishes, oysters to our top of the range live Australian Lobster cooked to your desire will definitely open up to a whole new experience of fresh seafood cuisine.
