Honestly speaking that day on the way to JW Marriot Ramadan Buffet
Review I was stucked in Jalan Tun Razak for more than an hour. Nevertheless I make
it and managed to eat and try the delectable kampung dishes even though I arrive late.
For Ramadhan Kareem 2013 JW Marriot Poolside is offering 138
types of Nenek Traditional Recipe that brings back the nostalgia of breaking fast in the village or so called kampung style.
The Satay Ayam Kampung is a must try because I like the strong marinate and taste while the meat is tender and not overly burned. Of course I will definitely tried the Roast Lamb. The whole succulent lamb on a spit grilled over charcoal fires. There were other stalls such as the tandoori meats and seafood, barbecue and noodle stalls.
The 138 recipes are handed down from the grandmothers of the chefs at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur, while recipes for some 30-odd modern interpretations are by the chefs themselves. There are a row of colourful collection of gerai – rustic wooded stalls serving specialities such as Satay Kampong and Ikan Panggang, as well as heartier dishes at the Gerai Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kandar and Nasi Ayam.

Sambal Tempe is one of the simple dish but it's very appetizing eat with rice. One of my favourite Malay dish.

This Sambal Terung is delicious, however I warned you it is slightly spicy, if you can take it then is good.
Sup Kambing Herbal |
Initially I thought this is beef, later when I read the tag, oh yes! it is Sup Kambing Herbal. I like this rich and aromatic lamb soup. Warm up my body.

There are some real kampung dishes that are authentic recipes from Nenek that are hard to find such as Rendang Kerang, Daging Salai Masak Lemak dengan Bachang, Sambal Udang dengan Petai and Tongkeng Ayam Goreng.

JW Marriott Ramadhan Buffet is quite reasonable RM75++ at the Poolside and MYR65++ at the 4th Floor Starhill Conference Centre; children ages 7 to 12 dining at either venue may enjoy the buffet at half price. Ramadhan buffet will be served from 7.00pm – 10.30pm daily. This buffet starts from 10th July 2013 till the eve of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.
