most talented young singers in Malaysia as Colgate Charity Campaign ‘Mari
Beramal Bersama Colgate’ ambassador and called on Malaysians to help raise
RM150,000 for 15 orphanages in Malaysia under the Social Welfare
Department of Malaysia. A target of RM10,000 per home. There was music,
excitement and cheer at the launch of Colgate’s annual ‘Mari Beramal Bersama
Colgate’ charity campaign at KidZania.
Every year during Ramadan, Colgate sets aside a portion for charity with every purchase of specially marked Colgate charity packs. Since 2008, the campaign has already raised RM747,500 in contributions, which provided the necessary support for children to have basic care, education and maintenance of their homes.

Najwa, who rose to fame as a Youtube sensation, is now a popular
recording artiste with a huge following. With her sweet smile, the young
ambassador delighted the audience when she sang one of her popular songs. Around
350 children enjoyed a fun, educational day at KidZania where they had the
chance to explore and experience their dream professions.
With every purchase of a Colgate Maximum Cavity Protection
and Colgate Kayu Sugi charity pack from the 1st of July until
the 31st of of August 2013, Colgate will set aside 10 sen (per
single charity pack or 20 sen (per twin charity pack) to help raise
contributions for charity.
On top of raising contributions for charity over the years,
Colgate also used the campaign as an avenue for creating special, memorable
experiences for underprivileged children. Cheers and laughter often marked
children’s day outings to places such as the National Science Centre, Zoo
Negara, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, i-City and today, KidZania.
In the true spirit of giving and sharing, Colgate employees also
paid a special visit to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ukhuwah Anak Yatim Miskin in Sabak
Bernam last 21st June 2013. The Colgate volunteers helped clean the
home, refurbish bookshelves and matting, and spent a fun afternoon with the children.
An Iftar Ramadan will be the culmination of the charity
campaign and will be held at Mydin Subang Jaya on 19th July 2013
(Friday). The public are invited to join the Iftar Ramadan by simply purchasing
Colgate charity packs from Mydin Subang Jaya in exchange for Iftar Ramadan
