Before the massage, I thought it is going to be a painful massage or maybe I get bruises judging by the name of Deep Tissue Massage and looking at the apparatus or tools that they used for this massage. Miss Sunshine prepared to be bashed up… aaa :p

When I reached the outlet the Beauty Consultant lead me to a cozy corner and then I filled in my particulars. Served me tea and I waited a while for them to get ready and lead me upstairs to the cozy massage room.

The masseuse gave me a bowl of lemongrass scrub for me to take a warm shower before the massage. Ahh! Feel so good after the shower and get ready for the massage.

Lemon Grass Body Shower & Scrub 

The masseuse showed me the tools and massage oil that she will use for this massage. She also explained briefly what she is going to do and this massage is not pained it more relaxing. During the massage, she also checked with me if the massage pressure alright with me. I can tell her to increase or reduce the massage pressure.

These are the massage tools, the different sizes of teak wood is used on various parts of the body and maximize leverage and gravity with sliding, rolling, kneading, pivoting, levering, tapping and friction techniques to reach deep tissue on these trouble areas such as neck, shoulders, back and legs. I informed the masseuse my back and shoulder (especially my right shoulder) quite tense. I think I dozed off during the massage. The massage oil scent is very calming and tranquil.

Overall, this massage to me is not painful, except when the masseuse used the teak wood scrape to put more pressure on my right shoulder. She said that muscle on my shoulder is slightly tensed, so she needs to massage slightly harder and longer on that area to smoothen the blood circulation.

After the massage, I really feel relax and my body feels lighter. No more stiff shoulder and aching back. This is a deep relation massage that can improve blood circulation and relieve muscle pain and tiredness. This massage almost takes 2 hours including the shower. That night I had a good sleep too.
