Malaysian has decided at the Best Ribs Election Showdown. Tony Roma’s Bountiful Beef Ribs were declared the winner of Tony Roma’s first ever ‘Best Ribs Election Showdown’ after securing 43 % of public votes and were crowned as The BEST RIBS IN TOWN as part of Tony Roma’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.

The Bountiful Beef Ribs prevailed despite heavy competition from two other famous ‘candidate’ dishes; the mouth-watering Beef Short Ribs which features braised and grilled bone-in ribs, topped with demi-glace and fire-roasted zucchini, red peppers and carrots complete with lip-smacking mashed potatoes; and Malaysia’s very own enticing Lamb Ribs which also proved to be a tough contender with its tender marinated lamb ribs, flame-grilled with signature seasonings and honey plum glaze.

During the campaign (Nov 2012 to Jan 2013), Tony Roma’s also hosted weekly lucky draws for those who voted in the election. Weekly winners received Tony Roma’s food vouchers and a RM 50 cash voucher.

The 10 lucky winners were invited to attend the finale for a final lucky draw and a chance to win the grand prize – one year’s worth of free meals at Tony Roma’s, which was won by Nurlyiana Ridzuan from Kelana Jaya,much to her amazement.

To bring the election finale to a fitting end, and in celebration of the upcoming festivities in February, Tony Roma’s launched the ‘Cherish The Moment’ Facebook contest for the public, intended to foster a spirit of togetherness and comfort amongst its diners.

The six best entries will win special complementary dinner for two at Tony Roma’s Malaysia on 14 February 2013, during which they will also receive a special surprise, courtesy of Tony Roma’s. The Tony Roma’s ‘Cherish The Moment’ promotion comprises a starter, two entrées, dessert and two beverages, all at a reasonable price of RM 143++.
