His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein Visits Bring Joy To Underprivileged of Dignity for Children Foundation

10 underprivileged children and a football coach from the Dignity for Children foundation were treated to a spectacular match between Malaysia and Indonesia, where our hometown football heroes won 2-0.

The idea was birthed when FIFA Vice President representing Asia and Chairman of the Asian Football Development Project (AFDP), His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, visited the headquarters of Dignity for Children Foundation recently.

This treat is aligned with the collaboration between the Asean Football Federation (AFF), Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), AFDP and Dignity for Children Foundation – organizers of the AFDP – supported Faisal Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Faisal Cup, a tournament for underprivileged children that employs value of organized sports and the skills and positive attitudes it cultivates in them, concluded this year's term in September with the participation of around 90 teams; 63 football teams and 27 netball teams; with over 600 kids.

Prince Ali also commended the leadership and proactive efforts of Rev. Elisha Satvinder, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dignity for Children Foundation in social development and child-empowerment through education and sport.

The AFDP has joined this year the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Mamee-Double Decker, and GE Engine Services (M) Sdn Bhd in supporting the Faisal Cup. With the encouragement from AFDP, the Faisal Cup will also be introducing the girls’ football team in the next term.
