An Enthralling Christmas at Sunway Pyramid and A Fulfilling Wish With S.O.S Pine of Hope

It a wonderful time of the year... I am so busy month hopping around the shopping malls plus mesmerized by all the different Christmas décors. Love them all… While celebrating hope we could spare a little time to think of the less privilege ones, especially the children. After all, Christmas is all about spreading good cheer and happiness to everyone.

Sunway Pyramid Concourse

When I stepped into Sunway Pyramid I see lots of sparkles and lights, blended into the designs of mosaic art inspired by the genius mosaic mastermind - Antoni Gaudi, whose art originated from Barcelona in the 18th century. The 10 metre-high Christmas Tree at the Concourse decorated with sparkles and glitters added to the merriment, as the 2 reindeers all covered with shimmery and bright colours.

To uphold the Christmas spirit of sharing and giving, this year Sunway Pyramid S.O.S Pine of Hope collaborated with the City Revival Children’s Homes and StART Society – 2 community projects set for the betterment of underprivileged children.

The Enthralling Christmas at the mall started with the Launch of S.O.S Pine of Hope by Elizabeth Wong, the Bukit Lanjan assemblywoman and Selangor Executive Council Member in charge of Tourism, Consumer Affairs and Environment.

The City Revival Children’s (CRC) Homes consisted of 2 homes, the CRC (Boys) Home and CRC (Girls) Home, providing care for some underprivileged children around Subang Jaya. Up until today, 17 children are living in the Homes, and some include those who come from violent family background, being abused and placed under child protection, whose parents are unable to provide for them financially and those in need of special care for their disabilities.

A non-profit charity organisation, StART Society catered to serve the underprivileged children within the community, by providing free music, drama, art, craft, dance, speech and life skill lessons.
