ESPN Grandstand Showcaes Live Action Football and
Entertainment
I decided to drop by ESPN Grandstand, Carpet Avenue at Encorp Strand, West Wing, Kota Damansara last night to join more than 1,500 roaring fans out to witness the fiery
clash between Manchester United and Arsenal.
Despite the rain, excited fans came early to ensure the best seats for the much talked about live outdoor viewing party, with many arriving hours before kick-off.
Many supporters of Manchester United and Arsenal in their jersey and some with face painting were there much earlier to join the fun. There were entertainments, games and contests going on the whole night throughout the match. So which team do you support? MU or Arsenal???
Those that came early were treated to exclusive goodie bags from ESPN STAR Sports and were also entertained at booths, games, displays and contests run by broadcast sponsor Maxis, associate broadcast sponsors MYEG and Wrigley.

Organised by ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), Asia ’s
leading sports content provider, Saturday’s event saw supporters from both
sides decked out in their club’s kits singing team anthems with full voices,
and enjoying the electrifying and spirited atmosphere.
Hosted by Maxis Football Extra presenter, Jason Desmond (JD), there were plenty of lively activities and games, as well as an electric performance by renowned Malaysian rap-rock band Dragon Red, which kept the fans entertained before kick-off.

Barclays Premier League at Old Trafford
The blockbuster match shown in vivid HD on a giant screen
with surround sound, captivated the fans, who witnessed Manchester United’s
Robin Van Persie score the opener against his old club with just three minutes
into the match. Manchester United were looking to go 2-0 before the break when
Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla handled the ball inside the box; however, Wayne Rooney
missed from the spot. United then doubled their lead midway through the second
half with a rare Patrice Evra goal. Arsenal got a consolation goal deep into
injury time through a stunning strike by Santi Cazorla. The Manchester United
fans certainly made their presence felt by loudly chanting their team to
victory.
In addition to the Barclays Premier League, ESS also
broadcasts some of the world’s biggest football tournaments in Malaysia ,
including the Spanish La Liga, UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.
My face over there..hahahaaa
