You must be asking what is Carinae LEDs? I have the same question before I attend this launch. I know its something about lighting but what is Carinae LEDs?

Carinae LEDs obtains its name from Eta Carinae, one of the most luminous stars in the universe, symbolizing eternal brightness, and eternal life.  Carinae LEDs, as the name suggests, features exactly identical attributes to the planet’s brightest star, using very minimum electricity but it able to generate tremendous amount of light energy.

Pensonic officially launched its first ever LED lighting range called Carinae LEDs. In a press conference held on 18th Sept 2012, Pensonic’s Lighting Division General Manager, Mr. Leon Tan has unveiled the Carinae LEDs series of lighting products. This is the first time Pensonic has retailed their own LED lighting products, with the hope of being a leading provider of affordable yet reliable lighting solutions to the consumers all across the country.

Carinae LEDs consist of a wide range of household consumer lighting products that are highly efficient, durable and energy saving. Since they are robust and durable, having no mercury or filaments, there is no chance of shattering or any type of breakage with these LED light bulbs which can be a concern for conventional lighting products.

Some impressive-designed costumes inosculated with Carinae LEDs are being worn by the mannequins, showcasing the fusion of LED lightings and majestic futuristic couture.

At the same-time, Mr. Leon Tan also unveiled the commercial series of LED lighting products, called The Gravity Range. There is a whole range of products to choose from such as the Gravity Down-Light, Gravity Tube Light, Gravity Liner tube light systems, Gravity High-bay etc. These products are suitable for offices, warehouses, factories, retail lighting, car parks, galleries and so on.

Over the past three years, incandescent light bulbs have been phased out in stages around the world. For example, starting from the 1st Sept 2012, retailers in European countries will no longer be allowed to sell incandescent light bulbs to the end users. The enforcement of the law is aimed at reducing the energy use of lighting and subsequently saves 39 terawatt-hours of electricity across the EU annually by 2020.

Incandescent bulbs will eventually be eliminated. Energy-saving bulbs (LEDs) will be the next generation of lighting technologies for the sake of the sustainability of our earth’s resources.
