1,500 H&M fans and enthusiasts of the brand lined up
for over eight hours outside the Malaysian flagship store at Lot 10, Bukit
Bintang in anticipation of the Swedish fashion retailer throwing its doors open
at 11am on 22nd Sept 2012.

Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H&M, officiated the red
ribbon cutting ceremony with Lex Keijser, Country Manager for H&M Greater
China, Singapore and Malaysia and
Sin Gin, Store Manager of H&M Lot 10 and welcomed an excited crowd of
H&M lovers into its first Malaysian store.

The lucky first customer in line
was rewarded with a RM500 voucher, while the second to fifth people in line won
RM200 and the next 300 customers received RM50 vouchers.

in Kuala Lumpur

best price. We are also excited to finally be expanding our business concept
here within South East Asia and hope to grow our following in this region,”

On Thursday night, at the H&M Pre-Launch Party, prominent figures in Malaysia’s fashion and entertainment industry as well as
members of the media were invited to preview and shop at H&M’s luminous
three-storey 36,000 square feet store while being treated to decadent displays
of fashion and free flowing champagne. Some of the most notable guests included
newlywed actors Awal Ashaari and Scha Al-Yahya, international singer Yuna Zarai
and regional blogger Ringo Tan of Cheeserland.
H&M’s new store at Lot
10 carries a complete range of fashion and accessories for women, men,
teenagers and children with new items in store daily. This Autumn Winter 2012
season showcases sleek and sculptural silhouettes matched with bold shapes and
confident decoration for women, while men can re-invent sharp-suited 60s
silhouettes where layering, texture and colours bring tailoring traditions
right into the 21st century. Prices start at RM19.90 for a t-shirt
The H&M flagship store is located at Lot 10 Shopping
Centre, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur
and has more than 120 employees. Opening hours are 10.00am to 10.00pm daily.
Following the first store opening in Lot 10, H&M will
continue its expansion in
Setia City Mall
in Shah Alam on 3 October 2012.
