When I stepped into the Grand Palace Restaurant at
Pavilion KL that night, indeed this chinese restaurant was lavishly decorated and
there were many banquet tables setup with most of the guests already arrived. It
makes me feels like I am attending wedding banquet dinner. Well, I also over
heard the tables in front toast and shout “Yam Seng”.

8 Treasures Truffle Chicken
RM 80
When this dish was served on our table, hmmm… what is so
special about this dish. It looks like roast chicken to me. According to the MC the dish nickname is
Kuku Bird. Wait!!! After Ah Bok dissected this Kuku Bird, the treasures unveiled. Its actually
hidden inside the chicken. Fuahhwahhh!!! what is that?
This 8 Treasures Truffles Chicken is stuffed with 8 types of Mushrooms and infused with Truffle sauce. The chicken meat is like roast chicken, the skin really crispy and the mushrooms inside was tasty and fragrant. The mushrooms are a little bit on the salty side, maybe it absorbed all the sauce and marinating ingredients.

This succulent half Braised South African Dried Abalone

Lan Zhou Style Dao
Xiao Mian or Lan Zhou Knife Shaved Ramen
This is handmade noodles by the Chef. The Lan Zhou Knife
Shaved Ramen is served in a Pickled Vegetable Soup. It is slightly spicy, I can
taste the chinese five spices and also like Szechuan
spices. The soup is quite appetizing.
Braised La Mian with
Shredded Duck Meat RM 18
Chef Xiao Chen demonstrated the La Mian making. Braised
Noodle with Duck Meat, mushroom and vegetables. The restaurant is quite
generous there were many duck meats, vegetable and mushrooms in it. The braised

There will be a new outlet open next month at Setia City
in Shah Alam with banquet facilities of over 250 tables. However there will be
no pork dishes served at that new restaurant.
Thank to Imbi Palace Group for this satisfying and scrumptious dinner. That night I went back with full stomach and big smiles plus snapped many pictures during the dinner.
I will definitely come back for the Abalone, Spanish Ribs and Coconut Pudding…
