Yuhuu!!! It’s cupcake time!!! Last saturday was slightly different not only I get to eat cupcakes but also learned how to bake and decorate cupcakes with bunch of friends. Celcom hosts exclusive cupcake baking workshop for about 50 bloggers and media representatives for The Celcom Cupcake Challenge at The Cooking House, Desa Sri Hartamas last saturday.
The whole hands-on session was filled with laughter, fun and excitement. I bet that everyone’s cameras for sure were working very hard and non stop. Awesome!!!

In conjunction with the 55th Merdeka and upcoming Malaysia Day celebration, Celcom Axiata Berhad has organized The Celcom Cupcake Challenge, an exciting and simple online contest for all Malaysians in the spirit of 1Malaysia.

The recipe to bake vanilla cupcakes and also the buttercream frosting
by The Cooking House
This is the ingredients for Vanila Cupcake, plain flour with baking powder, butter,
sugar, we have eggs, milk and vanilla essence.
Part 1: bake the cupcake
Cream the butter and sugar until white and fluffy, slowly add beat the egg and fold in the flour carefully. Then, add milk and vanilla essence. Filled in the cup 2/3 full and
bake it at 180C for about 13 minutes.

Part 2: prepare the buttercream frosting and decorate cupcakes
To prepare the buttercream frosting, this is the ingredients salted butter, icing sugar and milk. Beat the butter until creamy, add icing sugar and milk. Beat until all combined and smooth. Separate into smaller bowl and add the coloring as desired.

24 Sept 2012 is the day where Celcom will compile all the pictures and announce the 55 winners. At the grand finale event on 29th Sept 2012, all 55 participants are to showcase their decorating ability and recreate their winning cupcakes to a live audience and panel of judges. The bakers with the most creative and unique cupcakes win. So start baking now!!!
