Travel Time Advisory (TTA) by Plus for Hari Raya and Merdeka Holiday
Plan your balik kampung road trip for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Merdeka holiday based on Travel Time Advisory (TTA) by Plus for smoother traffic flow.
The TTA consists of recommended staggered travel times for various destinations from the Klang Valley to major states and cities in Kedah, Perlis, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Singapore . It is aimed at distributing traffic and reducing congestion on the mainline, major toll plazas, rest areas and lay-bys during peak periods.
PLUS highway users paying toll electronically will be able to enjoy 30 %
toll rebate on 15, 16, 22, 23 and 31 August during the
Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Merdeka holidays
The toll rebate can be redeemed at all PLUS customer service
centres beginning 1 October until 31 December this year
The toll rebate will be given to users paying toll electronically using the PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n Go cards or the SmartTAG at PLUS-operated highways. Paying toll electronically will result in smoother and faster passage at toll plazas. The move is also part of a traffic management strategy to disperse traffic and to encourage people to travel on non-peak days.
However, the toll rebate will not be offered to those paying toll electronically at the Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar and the Penang Bridge toll plazas.
Based on studies on travelling trends during the previous festive seasons, PLUS expects the traffic on the NSE to increase by 30 percent to 1.4 million vehicles every day this Hari Raya and Merdeka holidays.
