My Balik Kampung Buffet Dinner & Buka Puasa Gathering at Eccucino, Prince Hotel & Residence, Kuala Lumpur

The Hot Selections

Despite of the Friday havoc traffic, I braved myself to drive to Bukit Bintang in the heart of Kuala Lumpur for buka puasa gathering with some bloggers and friends. Of course the traffic was killing me slowly but I started my journey slightly before 5pm from Mid Valley and I did managed to reach Prince Hotel around 6pm… this time so in time… hahaha

Here I am smiling and waiting for the rest to arrive at Eccucino. While waiting for the break fast / buka puasa time I browse through the “Balik Kampung” buffet spread. Wow… there are over a hundred kampong-style dishes to choose from, as well as some specialties across Malaysia.

Eccucino, Balik Kampung buffet dinner specialties from around Malaysia which include kerabu pucuk paku, bubur lambok, beef rendang with lemang, rending tok, nasi kandar, roti canai, udang goreng berlada, grilled satay, ais kacang and more.

& Dried Fruit Pilaf

Roast Lamb Kuzi Before & After in a hour... 
wow so fast almost finish in an hour 

I like the juicy roast lamb kuzi on briyani rice topped with mint sauce

The chilled prawns was fresh and popiah basah with chilli sauce was not too bad 
and i like the crispy pita bread.

They have Arabic food corner, there are naan bread, pita bread, tabbouleh, 
hummus, tzatziki, cucumber & yougurt salad, parsley, tomato & onion salad and others. 


On the Ice: Flower crabs, Marinated green-lipped mussels & Fresh prawns


Ulam-Ulam, Assorted Sambals, Kerabu seafood, kerabu kacang botol dengan udang, kerabu mangga, Pickles / Jeruk Buah, Popiah basah & goreng, sotong kangkung and etc.

Signature Hot Pot Soup & Roast Lamb Kuzi on Briyani Rice Stalls

There are 5 stalls, Signature Hot Pot Soup: Malaysian beef broth with ribs, oxtail, root vegetables and spices; Roast lamb kuzi on briyani rice; Five types of Malaysian laksa with traditional condiments; Roti canai and chicken murtabak with dhall, curry gravy and sambal; and Apam Balik stalls.

Usually Malay buka puasa start with water, kurma and some kuih then only followed by the main course or the heavier food. The desserts corner also have a bubur pulut hitam, assorted french pastries, nut tatlets, rice pudding, chocolate fondue, apple cobbler, tapai pult, tapai ubi, ais kacang, chendol, longan in lemon syrup, mango jelly, strawberry mouse and others.

The ‘Balik Kampung’ buffet dinner / buka puasa at Eccucino is available every night from 6:30pm to 10:30pm from 20 July to 18 August, 2012 and diners may select from the cold selection, soup, stall item, hot selection, dessert and beverages for only RM108++ per person for an adult while children under 12 years dine free when accompanied by adults.

Eccucino Brasserie International buffet restaurant in KL offering a full a-la-carte menu and a delectable buffet selection, for all day dining. Menu includes Malaysian favourites and international cuisines, with emphasis on regional fresh produce. It is located adjacent to the grand lobby and can seat 180 patrons.
