First week of July almost over, now I am looking forward for Ramadhan month. Break Fast or Buka Puasa together with friends, colleagues and families always the best time during the month. I love spicy food so Ramadhan Buffet especially those serving masakan kampung or authentic Malay cuisine.

Checkers Café in Dorsett Regency Hotel, Kuala Lumpur will be having a Ramadhan buffet with the theme: ‘Selera Kampung Bersama Jaafar Onn’. This fun-filled event will be featuring the talented and witty Celebrity Chef Jaafar Onn who together with renowned singer Haiza, promises everyone a memorable dining experience.   

Wide selections of scrumptious main course, until I am not sure how to start because everything I also want to try… Balitong Masak Lemak Chili Padi, Pari Masak Assam Pedas, Sambal Tumis Udang Petai, Kerutup Daging, Bubur Lambok, Nasi Bokhari, Udang Masak Tomato, Ikan Keli Masak Tempoyak and many more.

The dessert that is not to be missed is Kek Budaya Dorsett, with tapai best is served chill. Kek Budaya Dorsett is Dorsett Regency Hotel, Kuala Lumpur’s Pastry Chef Badrol Hisham Mohd Ali new cake creation. Beautifully blended with distinctive Malay, Baba-Nyonya and Western flavours, the unique cake is layered with vanilla sponge, homemade fermented glutinous rice, and royal custard filling.
