For those who is new top to this brand, here are some brief introduction. John Varvatos was launched in 2000 with a collection of tailored clothing and sportswear, John Varvatos now represents an entire lifestyle that includes belts, bags, footwear, eyewear, luxury skincare and fragrances (including one for women), as well as the younger, edgier John Varvatos USA Collection and Converse by John Varvatos, clothes for guys and girls.
The designer has been recognized three times by the CFDA with an American Fashion Award for New Menswear Designer (June 2000) and Menswear Designer of the Year (June 2001 and June 2005) and was honored as GQ’s “Designer of the Year” in 2007.

This is my favourite even its men's fragrance, it has the long lasting spicy and floral that smell very contemporary and manly. Plus I love the handwoven rattan in a rich caramel color encases the flask, giving each bottle its own eclectic character. John Varvatos partnered with Rodrigo Flores-Roux of Givaudan to create this signature scent. Reflecting the art of craftsmanship with a modern edge, John Varvatos ARTISAN is a refreshing composition of ingredients. The scent opens with a citrus explosion developing into a spicy, floral blend that delves into a long lasting woody and masculine impression.
Top Notes: Sicilian Clementines mix with juicy Tangelo fruit from Florida ; Mexican winter Mandarin Oranges; Wild Thyme, Marjoram from Spain
Heart Notes: North African Orange Tree Blossoms and Indian Murraya; trio of ginger extracts: fresh cut Ginger Roots from China

The John Varvatos fragrance, the first of the collection, brings together notes that are both familiar and unique. From the introduction to the finale, the fragrance is an alluring woody oriental blend of spices, woods and a hint of sweetness. It exudes confidence, elegance and masculinity with the perfect touch of softness and ease to create a sense of intimacy.
Top Notes: crisp West Indian Tamarind Tree Leaves; smooth Medjool Date Fruit; Mediterranean herbs.
Heart Notes: Coriander Seed Templar; Clary Sage Flower provides hints of tobacco and sage leaves; Indian Ajowan rounds off the mid note with the scent of thyme.
Background: Eaglewood and Auramber; black leather nuance; soft sandalwood, sensuous balsams, and a touch of vanilla.

The scent, although rooted in a classic, is dictinctlt unique due to its rugged authenticity and enduring appeal that enables it to stand on its own. A sensuous, aromatic scent with a warm, spicy appeal, John Varvatos VINTAGE emanates the brand’s philosophy of reaching back to move forward. This has a sleek python band, amber colored glass and a defined rose champagne colored cap.
