Introducing the White Editions of Samsung’s GALAXY Note, GALAXY S II and GALAXY Ace, Coupled with New Applications

Consumers can enjoy soon-to-be released Samsung-exclusive applications such as the ViKi Premiere and K-POP Hub App Service.

ChatON Messenger: a unique interactive instant messaging service that allows consumers to express themselves one-to-one or in group chats with emoticons, personalized videos and audio. The app brings the fun back to the mobile messaging experience as it allows consumers to send and receive text messages and also broadcast ‘animation messages’ to share personalized messages.  With the group chat functionalities, it also enables them to keep abreast of in touch with all their friends across networks by sharing pictures, videos, audio, location, and contacts and calendars.

ViKi Premiere App: developed through a partnership between Samsung and ViKi, an international video site recognized for aggregating some of the world’s best TV programs and movies, subtitled in more than 150 languages by a community of avid fans. ViKi Premiere will allow consumers to watch TV shows, movies and entertainment news from around the world and subtitled in multiple languages. Consumers will be able to stream videos anywhere and anytime with a WiFi or 3G connection to enjoy a truly engaging entertainment experience with their GALAXY devices. They can also share videos with friends seamlessly via SMS, email, and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

As the first ViKi service on the Android platform, the ViKi Premiere app will also be a boon for K-pop fans with exclusive early access to popular Korean-Wave contents such as K-pop entertainment news, as well as Korean TV dramas and movies. The ViKi Premiere App will be available for download free via Samsung Apps from Viki Premiere is available now across Southeast Asia for GALAXY Note, SII, W and Ace. GALAXY Y & Mini optimized versions of these applications are expected by January 2012.

K-POP Hub App: borne from collaboration between Samsung and major Korean record labels, is another app exclusive to Samsung Apps. It brings together latest news and information of popular Korean music artistes – including pictures, videos, and music and concert clips – creating a unique and integrated user experience centered on KPop. The K-POP Hub App will be available for download free via Samsung Apps from Jan 2012.
