DMH Niaga – DPUKM Inks Collaboration To Boost Vending Technology Opportunities

1001 BOSS VEND DPUKM Entrepreneurs Search Is On! For those with entrepreneurship enthusiast and wish to be your own boss perhaps this is a good opportunity for you. Recently we witnessed DMH Niaga Sdn Bhd, an incubate of Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) had inked an agreement with the Dewan Perniagaan Usahawan Kecil Malaysia (DPUKM). This collaboration aimed to boost vending machine technology and also create new entrepreneurs opportunity.

For those who is new to DPKUM, this organization was established since March 2013 by Dato Seri Abu Hasan Mohd Nor as the Founder and also President. It’s an organization that creates opportunities and activities for entrepreneurs and conduct trainings for them to excel in the country as well as overseas.

At the launch of “Pencarian 1001 Usahawan Vending DPUKM – Boss Vend" 

This latest collaboration between DMH Niaga and DPUKM was officially launched at Technology Park Malaysia via an initiative known as “Pencarian 1001 Usahawan Vending DPUKM – Boss Vend” by YB Tan Sri Noh Omar, Minister of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government.

During the launch, the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was endorsed by DMH Niaga Managing Director, Datin Natasha bte Dato Abdul Rahim and DPUKM President Dato’ Seri Abu Hassan Mohd Nor. Also present to witness the signing ceremony was TPM Chairman, Datuk Ahmad Fauzi Zahari.

This collaboration creates opportunities for new entrepreneurs to earn more income through Vending Machine. This will also ease the new entrepreneurs to manage their own business with Vending Machine and also help them to reduce their business operating costs such as rental, staffing, utilities and others.

These new Vending Machine can also help our local SME (Small Medium Enterprise) to promote their products, reduce marketing cost and also increase the sale. They can promote and market their products via Vending Machine and at the same time the consumers can buy through Vending Machine on 24/7 as well.

During the press conference, Datin Natasha said that Boss Vend technology marked the first such initiative to market SME products throughout Malaysia. The products that can be marketed through the vending machine include hot and cold drinks, food and snacks, toiletries, juices and many more.

SMEs 

For a start Vending Machine will be placed at the hospital throughout the country and also within Technology Park. Then DMH Niaga will try to supply these vending machine to higher education institutions and also strategic public locations.

According to Datin Natasha, currently there are 9 types of vending machines. A unique feature is its digital screen on all of these machines unlike the conventional vending machine. It can also be used for advertising and interactive promotion for SMEs themselves.

By the way, Technology Park Malaysia Sdn Bhd, an agency of MOSTI has an integrated infrastructure, facilities and support services to assist technopreneurs and entrepreneurs who are keen to commercialize their ideas in the four industry clusters namely ICT, Engineering, Biotechnology and Green Technology.

For those who is interested to venture into this Boss Vend entrepreneurship you have to be a member of DPUKM and the fees is RM150 for individual and RM300 for enterprise per year. The minimum capital or entry cost for Boss Vend entrepreneur is RM9000 and the capital increases depending on the types of the vending machine and also the number of units.
