Affordable Udang Galah Dishes @ The Nai Café, Denai Alam

Do you love to eat Udang Galah or fresh water prawns? Recently we had an Udang Galah night with a few friends at The Nai Café, Denai Alam. This café serves varieties of local favourites from lunch to dinner and supper. Their specialties are the Udang Galah or fresh water prawns at an affordable price from RM12.90 to RM14.90 each.

The Nai Café is known for its Char Kuey Teow Udang Galah. You choose the level of wetness of your Char Kuey Teow either basah, lembap, kering lembap and kering garing. It depends of you either you prefer your flat noodle to be wet, moist, dry or crispy dry.

This is The Nai Café specialty and popular dish. Char Kuey Teow Udang Galah basah, as you can see the kuey teow (flat noodles) is fried in wet stye with 2 big Udang Galah. The fried kuey teow is flavourful with the aroma of lobsters and egg. The portion is quite big and affordable as well. If you order the basah style I would suggest you eat it when it’s hot so that the kuey teow don’t turn soggy.

This is my favourite dish, as you know I love Tom Yam and seafood especially lobsters. The Tom Yam soup is spiciness is moderate but the sour level is quite strong. It goes well with white rice or fried rice. Just the way I like it.

If you love sambal with your rice then this is the dish to go for. It comes with 2 dang galah and generous portion of sambal in moderate spiciness and sweet. It taste like the nasi lemak sambal.

Overall the Udang Galah Dishes at The Nai Café, Denai Alam are affordable, the portion is decent and taste good as well. The restaurant ambience is minimalist and clean. It is suitable for family dining as well.
