beauty pageants of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2015 were at A Gift For A Wish - Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) gift
presentation day. Its the season of giving and sharing the joy with the less fortune children.

Here are the 35 underprivileged kids ranging from 7-12 years that
were chosen for this campaign by YCK based on their backgrounds to have their
wish for one gift to be fulfilled. Sunway Putra Mall to show some love to YCK
children and provides a brighter future to at-risk children and youth.
The funds collection campaign spanned for the month and with the
contribution from the public, Sunway Putra Mall managed not to only purchase
the desired gifts but also the essential everyday items needed by YCK to care
of all the kids at their centre.
Each children received a bicycle plus their dream
toys or essential daily items and also school necessity such as school
uniforms, school bags and stationary.
During the presentation, Sunway Putra Mall was accompanied by 60
beauty pageants of Miss Tourism which were specially brought by TGV Cinemas to
present the gifts to the 35 children.

After the gift ceremony, the children together with the beauty
pageants were then ushered to TGV Cinemas to watch Snoopy and Charlie Brown:
The Peanuts Movie and then treated to a scrumptious dinner at the Al Amar
Lebanese Cuisine restaurant.

Any event that would honor, celebrate, or help kids out is awesome. I'm glad they did this event and focused on the children. They deserve a great life ahead of them.
ReplyDeletea very meaningful event indeed! i don't follow beauty pageants at all. but is this pageant a big one? i'm guessing it is, with 60 contestants! this will really help to spread the awareness about the less fortunate children.
