Recently Westin Hotel & Resorts globally launched the Westin
Well Being Movement on 21st March 2014 that coincides with the International
Day of Happiness and Well Being and the Spring Equinox. There will be string of
innovative programs across Westin’s six brand pillars Feel Well, Work Well,
Move Well, Eat Well, Sleep Well and Play Well. I went visited the Westin Kuala Lumpur
Well-Being Open House last month, various activities showcasing the different
pillars of wellness took place for guests to experience the Westin Well Being.
The hotel organized a week filled with activities, kids were in
for a lot of fun with the Play Well pillar at The Westin Kuala Lumpur’s Westin
Kids Club with colouring competition.

Westin Well Being Movement also partnered with Headspace helping guests to Feel Well through a digital hub. Headspace
is meditation made simple using the new app and online technique. A simple
guided meditation exercises that help the guest smile more, listen more, worry
less and sleep better. It’s easy-to-learn, fun-to-do, and relevant to your
everyday life, scientifically proven to help you de-stress, get more sleep,
gain more self-control and worry less- our bite-sized exercises will help bring
some calm and clarity into a very busy life.
Meanwhile, The Westin Langkawi Resort & spa, guests
will be enjoying a weeklong of activities designed around the Westin’s six
brand pillars – with a different theme each day. The Sleep Well pillar was
showcased with fun photo-shoots with the signature Heavenly Bed on the beach.
The Eat Well activities featured a cooking class at the Seasonal Taste
and an Unwind hour with beverages infused with SuperFoodsRx ingredients
and Jing Tea at the poolside. Other activities that will take place
throughout the week include yoga session sat the Heavenly Spa by Westin, SH’BAM
fitness dance classes and more.
Nearly 200 hotels and resort will hold wellness events and
programs open to the public, including charity runs, inspirational well-being
talks an tips sharing sessions, as well as yoga and meditation activities led
