Happy Friday! I am looking forward for the long weekend and my short vacation. How about you? Going anywhere? or just hangout with friends and family? Every year, diptyque presents a special line of candles in
celebration of the holiday season. This year, a new chapter unfolds with a
fantastical reinterpretation of the diptyque aesthetic. Tse & Tse’s poetic
uniqueness combined with diptyque introduced a new festival of light. Diptyque Holiday
Collection 2013 symbolizing renewal, the radiance of life and the advent of the
New Year. The festival of light is celebrated all over the world in India,
Thailand and France.
Imagine a lantern whose colours emit light, a playful alphabet with mysterious sign, a secret language of magical words? How should one interpret this? The small, discernible character in the middle of the image certainly sends out a joyful message.
Diptyque Orange chaya |
Orange chaya
envelops you in spices. Sweet but not sugary, it evokes the round warmth of an
orange, followed by the freshness of cardamom, rising up exotically like the
blend of tea known as chaya. Touches of quince, cinnamon and ginger lead us
into a world of winter flavours.
Diptyque Ecorce de pin |
Ecorce de pin tells
you the holiday season has arrive the woody perfume emitted by snow-covered
pine trees mixes in with the scents of hinoki, a Japanese cypress used to make
simple, robust furniture. The perfume is raw, smoky and lightly veiled in
galbanum, cedar and patchouli.
Diptyque Encens des indes |
Encens des indes,
dressed in ecclesiastical purple, blends incense and myrrh, the legendary gifts
of the magi, guided by the star in the east. A mysterious, profound perfume,
enlivened by rose and cornflower. A dual sensation, both somber and flowery,
awakens your thoughts and sense.
Diptyque Holiday Collection 2013 was launched in Nathalie's Gourmet Studio, Publika, Solaris Dutamas; here are some of the pictures during the launch.

Each object designed by Tse & Tse’s founders, Catherine Levy
and Sigolene Prebois, expresses the joy of continuous reinvention without
losing sight of its core values. While their approach to the established codes
may seem casual, they take the spirit and poetry of objects very seriously.
When the wick is lit, the light flickers, like will-o’-the-wisps,
through the little openings in each label. The colour frames each
transformation. Green, orange and purple are illuminated with a golden luster,
imparting both life and elusive qualities as rich and varied scents.
