Vanakam! Today is Deepavali so happy because later I am going out
to visit my friends open houses. By the way, you might be wondering what is Athiradi Deepavali
means? This is a new word for me too until I discover this last week. Athiradi
means ‘a real enthusiasm’ or in Bahasa Malaysia it means ‘gempak’ its Gempak
Deepavali then.
There were 6,000
pieces of freshly made muruku were given away to the shoppers, cooking demo by
Adabi, Kolam Competition, Traditional Music Performances, showcase by OKU’s from Pusat Latihan Perindustrian & Pemulihan
Orang Kurang Upaya from Bangi, performances by a local artist namely Salaam
group, quizzes and a lot more fun and cheerful activities going on the whole
day during Athiradi Deepavali celebration @ Mydin USJ last week.
6,000 pcs of fresh muruku were distributed to the shoppers at Mydin Subang Jaya |
Salaam group singing tamil songs |
Besides all these activities and performances; there were many
stalls setup selling all the festival essential, saris, cookies, clothes,
accessories, food and etc at ‘Little India Bazaar’.
