Eh Friday! I just reached home from my regular coffee session with
friends at Uncle Don. I decide eat another kiwifruit, well I eat fruits
anytime… As you know I am on this Zespri 14-Day Daily Scoop Amazing of Challenge, every day you can see me eating Zespri Green & Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit. So let me brief you what are the differences between the Zespri Green and Zespri SunGold...
When mentioned kiwifruits straight away I think of Green kiwifruit. Zespri Green is the signature or I would say it’s the first kiwifruit developed in New Zealand back in 1920’s. Green kiwifruit has a tangy, sweet and sour flavours.
Zespri Kiwifruit: Zespri Green & Zespri SunGold
|
Zespri Green Kiwifruit contains:
• twice the amount of vitamin C as an orange
• more potassium than a banana
• more fibre than a bowl of bran
Another one is the Zespri SunGold this is newly added into Zespri kiwifruit family and was first planted in 1992. Well, the Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit has smooth, hairless skin which is bronze in colour. The flesh is yellow or light gold has a sweet and tropical taste and burst with more than 20 types of vitamins and mineral.
Well, the different between the Zespri Green and Zespri SunGold is that the
SunGold is smaller size and has less hairy compared to the Green. Plus when
both are ripe the SunGold actually taste sweeter. In terms of nutritious and
goodness, both has the same vitamins and minerals but the Zespri SunGold slightly
higher levels of vitamin E and folate. I actually like both the Green and
SunGold, usually I prefer the ripe ones because its sweeter and softer.
