The 7th Seventh day of Chinese New Year
(according to Lunar New Year) is known as Rénrì (人日) or is Man's Birthday. So it is
everyone birthday of that day, also believe as the day when everyone grows one
year older.
So, usually we will have a bowl of Mi Sua (longevity
noodle) that usually serves during birthday. And also toss Yee Sang (raw fish
salad). Plus for some many Buddhists, this is another day to avoid meat, the
seventh day commemorating the birth of Sakra, lord of the devas in Buddhist
cosmology who is analogous to the Jade Emperor. So I had a bowl of vegetarian
Mi Sua on that day :)
